1. ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE (THIS APPLIES TO VERSION 2 ONLY!!)
Q. What other software will I need to make the TotallyWrite Development Suite V.2 work on my computer?
A. The TotallyWrite Development Suite 2.0 should work on and computer with Windows 98, NT, 2000, ME, or XP installed on it and that has been updated to include Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If you've ever opened a .pdf file, you have Adobe Acrobat Reader! If you don't you can download it for free by going to www.adobe.com or by clicking on the icon below.
You can check to see if you already have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed by clicking Start on your Windows desktop, selecting Control Panel, and then double-clicking the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 listed, the latest version is already installed and you do not need to install it again. If not, Microsoft .NET is available by CLICKING HERE.
2. WINDOWS 2000 (THIS APPLIES TO VERSION 2 ONLY!!)
Q. Installer asked me to install something else (for Windows), which in turn asked me to download and install something else. I'm using Windows 2000, so maybe I'm too far behind the times?
A. The TotallyWrite Development Suite 2.0 will work on Windows 2000, but it does require that Win 2000 be updated properly with Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. You can download .NET by clicking HERE or on the GET .NET button above.
3. FINAL DRAFT TEMPLATE MAC COMPATIBILITY
Q. Is the TotallyWrite Development Template for FINAL DRAFT both Windows and Mac compatible?
A. Yes! When you download the template, place it in your Final Draft/Stationery/Scripts folder. It will then be available for you to pick from when you go to the File/New menu.
